Blackstage is a project I’ve been working on for the past year and it’s finally here! I created this online store along with a friend with the purpose of offering unique, bohemian and fun pieces for those gypsy souls that love to travel, listen to music and just wear breezy and fun clothing. For the first collection, ‘Sun was high’ we captured the island life in two scenarios that define this life style: the beach and the desert. The collections are small but full of pieces that you can rock from day to night. Click here and shop away: www.shopblackstage.com

Santurce is the mecca for up and coming artist in Puerto Rico. This up and coming sector of San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico, has been occupied by young artist with the goal of making the city come alive. Old abandoned buildings and lots are being taken over and turning them into galleries, beautiful murals, stores and more. The arts and music festival Santurce es Ley is no exception to this community effort. This year SEL celebrated it’s 5th edition with amazing murals, installations and music by local and international artist. Here is a picture summary of 3 days of non stop art, music and a community rising.
“The sky needs a black backdrop for the stars to shine.” Said Mara Hoffman regarding her Fall 2014 collection. We are used to her colorful and vibrant pieces but this time she switched up. Her biggest inspiration this season was from
Northern Africa, Moroccan rugs, Egyptian camels, and Bedouin jewelry. The collection offers a lot of variety. Mixing and matching won’t be a problem.
Folk simply makes everything better. I am currently going through a folk phase and I can’t stop. Here is a playlist with all my favorite folky songs. Enjoy!

Off my check list for this year’s resolutions? Attending a music festival. The Governors Ball was the best thing that has ever happen to me. Three days of amazing music. To make this experience even more exciting I got some of my friends to make outfits for the festival. My main goal? To be comfortable but keep it fun and interesting. Boots where my best friends during the festival since they are perfect for running around from stage to stage. My mind is still daydreaming about the festival. I hope I can attend another one soon!
These past few months have been a crazy roller coaster ride. Getting over life changes can be very difficult but I’m happy to say today everything happened for the better. I am the happiest I could ever be, I have great friends who support me and love me. I
feel blessed and lucky to be surrounded by so many people who get me, who share the same passions and who are simply fun. I tend to be a romantic by nature and that is accompanied by very intense moments of melancholy but I have learned to embrace that darkness and move on from it. Life is great and it is definitely important to take time to get to know yourself, travel, get lost and most importantly find the beauty in everything.
Friday is here! Let’s get funky and shake it off with Devil is a lady by The Chain Gang of 1974.
